Apple Submission Guide for AppInstitute Platform Users

At AppInstitute, we handle the submission process to the Apple App Store on behalf of our clients. However, it's essential for you, as the app owner, to follow these guidelines to ensure your app meets Apple's requirements. Please note that while AppInstitute frequently updates our platform to meet Apple’s compliance standards—both technical and account-based—there are certain content and account details you must manage.

1. App Icon

  • Ensure any text on the app icon is clear, legible, and aligns with the business name. Apple expects the app icon to represent the app’s branding accurately. Text should not be obscured or too small to read.

2. Splash Screen

  • When designing your splash screen, ensure any text is readable and matches your business name. Our platform displays "safe zone" lines after uploading the splash screen. Keep any critical text and images within this safe zone to ensure they are not cut off on various device sizes.

3. App Name

  • Make sure the app name listed in the App Store is consistent with the name in the "About Us" section of your app. Apple reviews these details carefully to verify app authenticity and consistency, so aligning this information will help ensure a smooth approval process.

4. Developer Account

  • The Apple Developer account must be in the name of the business or business owner associated with the app. Apps cannot be submitted through third-party or non-owner employee accounts. Please also invite AppInstitute to access your developer account to assist with submission.

  • If your app includes any web links that require login access, please provide our submissions team with credentials that can be shared with Apple’s review team. Apple will need to verify all external content. Additionally, ensure that external content is not the primary function of your app. If your app relies heavily on web-based content, speak with our submissions team about adding more native content to meet Apple’s requirements.

Following these steps carefully will help streamline the Apple submission process. Our team is here to support you through this journey, ensuring your app meets Apple’s standards for compliance.
